WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering.
The main goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. Program are:
1) to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important, and
2) to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
To learn more about the program, visit the national WATCH D.O.G.S. Website, or the National Center for Fathering at www.fathers.com.
To learn more about WATCH D.O.G.S. at Piper Prairie Elementary or to inquire about joining the volunteer effort, please contact Prairie Counselors, Daneen Kelsey (dkelsey@piperschools.us) or Morgan Crusoe (mcrusoe@piperschools.us), or call 913-721-1243.
WATCH D.O.G.S. dads and volunteers, purchase your official WATCH D.O.G.S. "uniform" at the Official WATCH D.O.G.S. Store. The uniform should be worn at all times you are in the building helping out. (The Prairie recommendation is the official short-sleeved t-shirt at $11.95. You may purchase whatever additional items you would like.)
